Actor Tim Matheson says that he has had to reach out to police after he made an “ignorant” tweet about then former lady Melania Trump.
After receiving major backlash about the tweet, he deleted it and later made another tweet where he tagged Melania and apologized for the tweet.

According to a report by TMZ, sources within law enforcement told the media outlet that Matheson informed the police that someone has been harassing him online ever since he made the tweet about Melania early last month.
“So wonderful to have a first lady with class and heart! And, a comma can speak English!” Matheson tweeted back on January 23.

In an apology tweet, Matheson wrote “Thank you for your work as the First Lady. I apologize to you for a stupid, ignorant,& foul remark that I made.”

Ironically, Matheson’s post was something that you would expect Donald Trump to tweet.
Even though Matheson apologized on social media to Melania Trump for his comments he claims an individual’s online threats keep escalating.

The online threats, according to Matheson have gone from “I’m going to kick your ass” to “pay me big bucks or I’ll kill you.” they’re going to kick Tim’s ass to … “pay me big bucks or I will kill you.”
Matheson reached out to the LAPD and reported the threats as well as an extortion report because of the request for money. Our sources say the actor contacted the LAPD after the death threat, filed an extortion report because of the money demands. Police are currently investigating the situation.
As we have previously reported, Melania has not been a happy camper since leaving the White House. Reportedly she is jealous and angry about the warm welcome new first lady Dr. Jill Biden has received from the media and on social media.
She is also said to be “bitter and cold” toward her husband who she blames for tarnishing her reputation.

When the Trump’s left Washington in the wee hours of January 20, Melania Trump was exceptionally unpopular. The fact that she and her husband skipped out on outgoing traditions such as attending President Joe Biden’s inauguration did not help their popularity any.
When Melania boarded Marine One and departed the White House for the final time, she had the worst favorability rating of any modern-day first lady.

Melania is reportedly extremely upset that her reputation has been “tarnished” by her husband’s relentless campaign of false voter fraud claims and the deadly insurrection that those lies caused.
After the deadly riot at the Capitol that resulted in five deaths, Melania was left unsure on how to respond.
She felt trapped and caught between a rock and a hard place having to decide whether to speak out and condemn the deadly violence or remain silent.

She also knew if she remained quiet, she could anger her husband’s base, yet if she remained silent it could point to complicity.
“She could see how it was going to be for her,” a former White House official told CNN. “Once the insurrection happened, she knew there was nothing to gain by her speaking out or doing something — so she didn’t do anything.”
Five days passed before Melania released a statement about the insurrection in which she expressed sympathy for those that had been injured or killed.

Soon after her statement several of her key aides announced their resignations.
Melania’s bitterness extends beyond her husband. She is also said to be overly bitter about the warm reception that new first lady Dr. Jill Biden has received.
The positive media that Biden has received has Melania bitter and angry.

Melania did not reach out to Biden while she was in the White House nor has, she reached out to her since departing breaking a long-standing first lady tradition of reaching out to their successors.
“She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again), at times she does eat dinner with her husband or with her parents who also reside at the Mar-a-Lago.
