Even though Donald Trump was once one of the world’s most powerful men, his youngest son, Barron, is not immune to adolescent rebellion.
As Donald and Melania’s son turns 17 this year, these are some of the ways the six-foot-seven-inch tall student has already proven he’s his own person who isn’t afraid to stand up to his father.

Let’s look at 5 times Barron rebelled during Trump’s presidency.
Barron hacked the then-president’s computer
Donald boasted to the crowd at CPAC in February about his son’s superior technological abilities, adding that Barron has even logged onto his computer without permission.
“I have a young son, Barron. He can make his computer sing,” Donald said. “I turn it off and I lock it, two minutes later, ‘Hi dad how are you doing?’ I say, what are you doing. ‘I know how to get it open, dad’.”

It isn’t the first time Donald has praised Barron’s IT prowess.
“I have a son. He’s 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it’s unbelievable,” Trump stated during a September 2016 presidential election debate with Hillary Clinton.
No love for Donald
As he promoted his book “Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show,” which will be released in November 2021, ABC News journalist Jonathan Karl revealed some details about Donald’s connection with his teenage son Barron.

During an appearance on CNN’s New Day, Karl revealed that Donald compared him to his son and reenacted a dialogue between the two when he was the chairman of the White House Correspondents Association: “Do you love your dad? I don’t know. But he does. But he’s too cool, the kid.”
“Donald Trump, it seemed, was comparing me to his teenage son, Barron, and he was comparing my lack of excitement about his possible appearance at the White House Correspondents Dinner, with his son’s reluctance to say out loud that he loved him,” Karl wrote about the encounter.
Barron’s critical debate feedback
Barron didn’t appreciate how his father carried himself during a presidential debate with Joe Biden in 2020, according to Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway, who wrote the book Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections.
“People thought I was too belligerent,” Donald admitted in their conversation. “I will say my own son Barron said, ‘Dad, you were too tough. You didn’t have to keep interrupting him.’”

At the time, Barron was just 14 years old. During the event, moderator Chris Wallace was forced to keep order as the then-president repeatedly spoke over the former US Vice-President.
Barron was often a White House no-show
Barron’s absence on his family’s final day in the White House could be another indicator that he wants to carve out his own identity and distance himself from his parents’ reputations.
Despite the fact that he resided there, the kid was not present when his siblings Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany said their goodbyes in a public ceremony. He didn’t even take a stroll across the South Lawn to board Marine One.

The ball is in young Barron’s court
Melania has compared Barron to Donald Trump and stated that he is “all about athletics,” yet the two appear to have different sporting preferences. While the former president enjoys golfing with his buddies and watching American football (which he is hesitant to allow his son to play owing to the risk of injury), Barron has different interests.

Barron has exhibited an interest in football but has not appeared to bond with his father via physical activities, rather than attending games with his father, he stays by his mother Melania’s side especially when it comes to being seen in public. There is no doubt which parent, Barron prefers.
