Barron Trump is the youngest son of President Donald Trump and Melania Trump. He rarely makes public appearances and is hidden away from the public eye most of the time.
This is by design as Melania has said in the past that she does not want Barron at the forefront of the media.
There’s a lot we don’t know about Barron, his life, or his relationship with his father. What we do know may shed some light on Donald and Barron’s relationship.
Here’s everything we know, and one thing that surprised us when researching this article.
He is Melania and Donald’s only child
What a lot of people might not know is that Melania and Donald Trump only have one kid. And it’s Barron. Donald’s other kids (Don Jr, Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany) are all from other marriages.
Barron is the youngest, obviously, being born in 2006 a year after Melania and Donald tied the knot.
Why they keep Barron out of the spotlight
No matter what outlet you get your news from, you’ll be hard pressed to find many stories or even photos of Barron. This is by design.
Melania especially wants to keep Barron out of the spotlight.
This actually isn’t that uncommon as the Obama’s and Clinton’s have done the same thing with keeping their kids out of the public eye as much as possible. The Bush daughters seeming to be the exception to this rule.
That being said, Melania has gone on record saying that she is teaching Barron at home as much as possible outside of school. Couple that with the fact that Melania said that she wants to shield him to give him a normal childhood and there’s your reason. But notice how Donald doesn’t really have much to say on the matter?
Paternity was in question due to Barron’s rapid growth
Earlier this year, social media went wild with an unconfirmed, and strange, rumor that Barron wasn’t Donald’s son. The image showed Barron towering over his father and mother.
Here is the pic that sparked all the speculation
Donald Trump reportedly stands 6’3 and Barron appears to be several inches taller. The images had social media taking things in a negative direction and questioning if Trump was his father.
Some social media users brought up the time that Trump referred to Barron as “Melania’s son” during a press conference about vaping.
All that aside, I mean, come one, he looks just like his father. There’s no denying he’s President Trump’s son. Especially when Donald was a kid.
First son to live in the White House since the Kennedy Administration in the 1960s
There hasn’t been a “first boy” in the white house since JFK Jr. back in 1961 during the Kennedy administration. Barron is the first son in the White house since then.
As we all know, Barron didn’t move fully into the White House for many month after Donald did. This might be a key factor in a distancing between them.
Barron is fluent in English and Slovenian
It’s difficult enough speaking one language correctly. Barron’s father still struggles with English at times.
But, because Melania is Slovenian, Barron is fluent in both English and Slovenian. Clearly the kid is bright.
Melania snubbed Donald’s older children by calling Barron “Mini-Donald”
There are several interviews floating out there where Melania has said that Barron is like “a mini-donald.” We’re still not sure if that’s a compliment or insult. Kidding, it’s his mom so of course it’s a compliment.
But this couldn’t have been good to hear from Don Jr. who is literally named after Donald Trump himself. Many viewed this as a snub to the older Trump brother.
Melania is allegedly very “hands off” with Barron
Contrary to popular believe, Melania may not be the hands on mom she wants us to believe. According to a new book by former best friend Stephanie Wolkoff, Melania is anything but hands on.
Wolkkoff said:
Melania’s playdates were his playdates. Melania didn’t sit around to watch the kids play. Nor did she entertain the mothers who arrived and wanted face time.
The surprising news we never knew: his relationship with his father
Given all this information, there still remains a huge gap of information about the relationship between Barron and Donald. Not that we can’t find it, because we can’t. It doesn’t exist.
This leads us to believe that Donald is a very distant father and has been even before he won the presidency.
When Trump was impeached he apologized to his family and made special mention of Barron. Could this have been a moment of clarity that Donald has neglected his youngest son too long.
It all leaves more questions than answers. We do know that the relationship health is in question, especially since the sightings of Barron are so few and far between. Outside of mandatory or family functions, there aren’t many pictures of them together.
Barron and his life will continue to be shrouded in secrecy. But like all teens he will eventually rebel.
We’re wondering how long until that happens.
