Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders announced Wednesday that he was ending his campaign to run for president. Sanders said that he wished had better news and that the “path toward victory is virtually impossible.” Sanders continued that it was a “painful decision.”

Sanders conceded defeat, trailing 300 delegates behind Joe Biden, and congratulated former Vice President Joe Biden on his nomination. He also went on to state that Biden was a “very decent man.” He will stay on the ballot in the states that have not held their primaries yet to gain more delegates.
Sanders also stated that after the convention, he will “help take on Trump.”
Former Vice President Joe Biden took the lead when he defeated Bernie in Arizona, Florida, and Illinois. Biden’s victory in all three states put pressure on Sanders to step down. In the states that voted, there were not a lot of voters due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
On Twitter, Joe Biden said that he knew Sanders very well. Biden continued that Sanders was a “good man,” and “great leader” and that he has “one of the powerful voices in our country.”

President Trump also weighed in on Sander’s decision to end his campaign to run for president. Trump blamed Sen. Elizabeth Warren for the Democratic primary loss. Trump said, “Bernie Sanders is out and that he “would have won almost every state on Super Tuesday.” Trump continued that “Bernie should become a Replication.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren had announced on December 31, 2018, that she would run for the U.S. president in 2020. During Warren’s campaign, she supported the idea to cover tuition at public colleges and eliminate student-loan debt, and Medicare for all. Warren endorsed Bernie Sanders as she stepped down from the race.
Bernie Sanders is a United States Senator from Vermont and assumed office in 2007. On February 19, 2019, he announced that he would run for the Democratic Party’s nomination for President of the United States. Sanders is a self-described democratic socialist and has advocated for universal healthcare and tuition-free education. He also supports the Affordable Care Act and he believes that global warming as a serious problem.
In a memo released by Tom Perez, Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Perez said the DNC will support Joe Biden’s campaign and that he is the “presumptive nominee.” The DNC has been heavily involved in the Battleground Build-Up 2020 program, improved its technology infrastructure, and created the new Democratic Data Exchange agreement. They have also created a team to track misinformation that could harm the party, committees, and candidates.
DNC also launched the DNC war room to monitor President Donald Trump and everything that he does and what is reported about him. People in the DNC war room have been tracking Trump’s entire tenure and posting content directed at Trump online. The War Room holds the biggest research file on President Trump that began in 2015.
Recently, President Trump has begun losing his approval ratings with the way he has handled the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Trump’s popular rating is at 42 percent.
