The Divine Miss M, Bette Midler, has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump’s since he took office in 2016. She joins a long growing line of celebrities that do not hesitate to let their disdain for Trump be known.
Trump recently made another tweet attacking the media.
“FAKE NEWS IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!” Trump tweeted.
Trump has made it a full- time pastime to attack the media especially any journalist or media outlet that does not showcase him in a good light. He has repeatedly referred to the media as “fake news” since taking office.
Midler responded to Trump’s tweet in classic Midler “don’t hold anything back” style.
“Shut the f**k up, you nitwit. YOU are the enemy of the people…the news didn’t kill 153,000. YOU DID.”
Midler and many Americans believe that had Donald Trump properly responded to the COVID-19 pandemic instead of trying to convince the nation it was nothing more than a “Democrat hoax” that as many as 153,000 lives could have been saved as well as the jobs of many hard-working Americans.
