Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took a jab right on the chin early Tuesday. From The Hill:
During an interview with Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday, CNBC host Jim Cramer called her “crazy Nancy.”
Cramer made the remark in a live interview as he questioned her about the odds for a coronavirus relief package. He immediately apologized for the comment, saying he had meant to paraphrase Pres. Donald Trump.
He posed, “What deal can we have, crazy Nancy? I’m sorry, that was the president. I have such reverence for the office, I would never use that term.” Pelosi countered back, “But you just did.”
She also announced, “Anything the president says is a projection of his own insecurities. He calls other people crazy because he knows he is. He’s a master of projection. So anytime he says something you say, ‘Uh-oh, that’s what he’s thinking of himself.’
As Cramer chimed in, “You know I was being facetious when I used the term. Plus he added, “I respect you. Anyone who gives their life to public service and is Speaker of the House should not be called that name. I don’t even want to use it again.”
In addition, the speaker sounded off regarding her Republican rival Trump. Speaking to MSNBC’s Craig Melvin yesterday, Pelosi faced pushback after repeatedly saying “Forget him.” As Melvin pressed her, “with all due respect, you just said, ‘Forget him.’” She replied,“Yeah, forget him.”
The MSNBC host then asked if she and the president had “just stopped talking? Is that where we are?”
Beyond that, “Well, I’ve spoken to his representatives and [Trump] says that they speak for him. I take that to be true about the secretary of the Treasury, and we have worked together.” With no sign of tensions thawing in sight.
