CNN host Jake Tapper just sounded off on Twitter. The anchor took aim at President Donald Trump and his faithful supporters. And he blasted them for not giving up the fight.

“I truly sympathize with those dealing with losing — it’s not easy but at a certain point one has to think not only about what’s best for the nation (peaceful transfer of power) but how any future employers might see your character defined during adversity.”
Plus he added, “I mean, I don’t expect the ride-or-die crew to listen to me, but… ‘So it says here on your resume that you drove a sex offender to testify at Four Season Total Landscaping, north of the Tacony-Palmyra bridge…'”

Right wing media outlets soon called him out. Breitbart News implied this was a threat. One meaning they should prepare to concede or get blacklisted. He wouldn’t be the first who’s made that suggestion. It’s even gotten pushed from Capitol Hill.

Firebrand House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to Twitter on Friday and asked, “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.”

In fact, a group named the Trump Accountability Project has started taking notes. The alliance announced: “Remember what they did. We should not allow the following groups of people to profit from their experience: Those who elected him. Those who staffed his government. Those who funded him.”

A White House official expressed, “At first I brushed it off as ridiculous, but what is scary is that [AOC is] serious. That is terrifying that a sitting member of Congress is calling for something like that.” In addition, “the idea that a sitting member of Congress wants to purge from society and ostracize us should scare the American people.”
Tapper has been on a tear lately, as he also tore into President Donald Trump a few nights ago over his antics with refusing to accept the call of Democrat Joe Biden as new president-elect.

Tapper made his case against Trump on air in a group discussion. And called the president out:
“He’s not a seven-year-old kid who lost an ice-skating competition. He is a 74-year-old president of the United States and he lost re-election, and you know what? That’s OK. That happens. His emotional needs, frankly, are irrelevant.” A harsh reality but one Trump may need to accept.

Plus Tapper claimed, “I don’t think we need to bend over backwards and pretend that the country moving on and MAGA nation moving on depends upon what Joe Biden does, like Joe Biden is going to do what he can, and if a chunk of the leaders of the Republican Party want to drag the nation down with them, that’s up to them.
Then added, “He’s going to be governing and they can even join him or get out of the way.” His colleague Anderson Cooper had cut loose on Trump just a day prior. Cooper ditching diplomacy at the door.

“That is the President of the United States, That is the most powerful person in the world and we see him like an obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over.” A brutal take down by him there.

In addition Cooper announced, “But he just hasn’t accepted it and it wants to take everybody down with him — including this country.” That’s quite a scary notion for this nation.

The Atlanta, Georgia based network has been a frequent target of Trump’s ire. Now that his fortunes appear to have changed, no mercy should be expected.
It’s not just the president that Tapper has taken to task lately. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was also torn into before the election over the status of a long-discussed economic stimulus package. And why officials are unable to strike a deal.
Earlier on the show, Tapper had White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows appear as a guest. He claimed, “We have continued to make offer after offer after offer. And Nancy continues to move the goalposts. And, as you know, we’re up to $1.9 trillion. I personally have talked to the leader multiple times. I have talked to senators multiple times.”
Plus he announced, “And, at the end of the day, it was the Democrats just last week who said that they weren’t going to support a $500 billion deal. So, they said no to some relief coming to Americans.”
Tapper would later have Pelosi on the program. He then addressed the issue to her. “So, we know that the White House has moved closer to your position on lots of issues, coronavirus testing, contact tracing strategy, unemployment benefits, local government.”

But Pelosi was not hearing any of it. She shifted the blame back onto rival Republicans. “They keep moving the goalposts. They— every time they say we move the goalposts, that means they’re projecting what they did.”
