On Tuesday, Kathy Griffin found herself called out on Twitter after stating that Donald Trump should take an empty syringe “with nothing, but air,”
Griffin’s comments were first reported by the Washington Examiner. Her comment came in response to statements made by Trump at a White House event that was dedicated to seniors with diabetes. During the event, Trump asked if he should be taking “insulin.”
Even after being called out for her comment Griffin double down on her tweet by responding to a tweet made by the Examiner noting that an injection of air “would be fatal.”
“I SURE DID, F—ER. #TrumpLiedPeopleDied,” Griffin wrote.
A Twitter representative spoke with the Examiner and stated that the social media platform would be looking into if Griffin’s tweet violated Twitter policies.
This is not the first time that the former “My Life on the D-List” star sparked controversy connected to Donald Trump. Back in 2017, she did a controversial photo shoot with what appeared to be the severed head of Donald Trump.
She says that photoshoot damaged her career, but that she would not hesitate to do it again.
