Since the very start of his presidency, Donald Trump has made racist comments. He has repeatedly attacked Democratic representatives of color.
In one Oval Office rant Trump stated that he did not want to admit immigrants from African “shitholes” and made similar remarks about El Salvador and Haiti.
Trump told Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, all women of color, to “go back where they came from.”
Trump’s family and allies have repeatedly had to try and defend Trump as “not racist.” Anthony Scaramucci stated that not only was Trump, not a racist but that he was “the least racist” person ever after Trump’s infamous “both sides” statement about white nationalists.
Ivanka Trump at one point insisted that “my dad’s not a racist; he didn’t mean any of it.”
Now it appears that it is Donald Trump Jr’s turn to claim that his father is not a racist.
In his new book, “Triggered” Eric Trump writes that he does not understand how anyone could have the “audacity” to refer to his father as a racist. He stated that it just wasn’t true because his father let him hang out with a black man when he was just a kid.
“Oh, and by the way, given all the things my father has been called, particularly a ‘racist,’ it sure sounds odd that he’d let his son vacation with a black man or hang out with Michael Jackson, doesn’t it?” Eric Trump wrote in his book.
“If he’s a racist, he’s sure not very good at it,” Trump added.
He goes on to share that Michael Jackson lived in Trump Tower for a while and would come over to play video games with him and his brother Eric.
Also, in his book, Trump Jr describes special counsel Robert Mueller as a “feeble old fool” at the head of a “crooked investigation”, and added that the ‘Squad’ which includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar – should be renamed “Hamas caucus.”
Also, in “Triggered” he suggests that his father deserves a Nobel Peace Prize far more than former President Barack Obama did.
