The Netflix original show the “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness” is entertaining millions right now. The show is about an eccentric gay man from Oklahoma, who owned more than 200 tigers.
The limited episode mini-series follows the life of Joe Exotic, who owned an exotic zoo that helped him become drawn into politics and a dark plot to assassinate an animal rights activist. It ends with Exotic serving 22- years in federal prison.
Exotic’s story is bizarre, to say the least, but it is something that no sane person would aspire to be.
Donald Trump Jr recently used Instagram to share m meme that had his father’s face superimposed onto Exotic’s head. He captioned the image: “Hahahahaha I love the internet. I heard about this guy.”
The post makes it pretty clear that Trump Jr hasn’t seen the Netflix series. Had he watched the program he would not find comparing his father to Joe “The Tiger King” Exotic a good idea. However, it would have been a pretty wise idea for Trump Jr to have researched exactly who Joe Exotic was before sharing the meme.
Joe Exotic is an unstable individual that many people have referred to as “evil.” The tiger breeder even tried to run for president at one point. He was convicted on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and 2 counts of murder-for-hire when he attempted to have animal rights activist Carole Baskin killed. Baskin is the CEO of an animal rights organization. Exotic is currently serving a 22-year prison term in federal prison.
Social media users had a lot to say about Trump Jr’s post.
Journalist Aaron Rupar asked, “Who wants to tell him?”
The Hoarse Whisperer responded to Rupar with “Traitor Tot is not a smart man.”
Author Zachary Elwood tweeted, “Watching Tiger King, I kept thinking of the similarities between Trump and Joe Exotic. Lot of parallels. Narcissism can def present very consistently. Trump Jr did actually share this. I had to doublecheck.”
