Donald Trump Jr is preparing to self-publish his book “Liberal Privilege.” He was widely mocked after sharing the books cover on Twitter because he had an apostrophe in the wrong place. He has since quietly corrected the error.
Trump Jr’s first book “Triggered” was published by Hatchette Books so it was edited by professional editors. This time around Trump Jr. has decided to self-publish, which leaves him responsible for spelling and grammar errors.
“Liberal Privilege” is scheduled to be released on August 25. The book was originally subtitled “Joe Biden and the Democrat’s Defense of the Indefensible.” Social media users were quick to point out that where the apostrophe was placed meant he was referring to only one Democrat. Trump Jr. quickly and quietly fixed the error and began to share images of the corrected title.
It appears that Trump Jr. may not understand how to use an apostrophe. He posted a notice on Twitter sharing that the book was available for pre-order tweeting, “Sleepy Joe wont [sic] like this one. But lets [sic] be honest he probably doesn’t keep up with current events.”
Trump Jr, claims that he was offered a big book deal, but turned it down so he could self-publish.
“While I was offered a generous book deal by my previous publishers, I turned it down and decided to self-publish.”
His first book “Triggered” made the New York Times Bestsellers list only because the RNC bought the book in bulk. The RNC then offered the book to anyone who donated $75 and up.
“The RNC was able to raise almost a million dollars from their fundraising campaign with my first book, ‘Triggered,’” said Trump Jr. “I look forward to helping them fundraise once again for the benefit of the Republican party.”
On his website, Trump Jr. promotes the book as revealing “the facts the media refuses to cover”, including “countless liberal scandals, years of entrenched racism in the democrat party and decades of failed polices”.
One must assume that by “polices” Trump Jr actually meant “policies.” It appears “Liberal Privilege” may literally be a “difficult read.”
