President Donald Trump is apparently making things very difficult for Democratic foe Joe Biden. Trump has refused to concede the presidential election. Even as numerous mainstream media outlets have called Biden the winner.
And Trump said to be doing all he can to prevent Biden from seizing power. As VozWire told Monday. The General Services Administration (GSA) administrator must authorize access to a range of executive features. Namely for a new president-elect.
By Sunday evening, almost 36 hours after media outlets had projected Biden as the winner, GSA Administrator Emily Murphy had written no such letter. In addition a new report published on Tuesday reveals more obstacles that Trump has put in Biden’s way.
It is now being reported that the Trump’s administration is actively instructing senior agency officials to not give President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team the cooperation they need. The Trump campaign is currently in the middle of multiple legal battles that are challenging the election outcome.
CELINE CASTRONUOVO reports, “Biden’s transition officials stated Murphy’s decision blocks access to secure facilities where they can review classified information, among other services. The Biden team reportedly added in the call that they are evaluating their legal options should the Trump administration continue to prevent a peaceful transition.”
A White House insider said, “We have been told: Ignore the media, wait for it to be official from the government.” The president seemingly won’t leave without a fight. Trump announced in a statement released on Saturday:
“The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor.”
Trump’s camp now requesting recounts in Georgia and Wisconsin. It appears that will be the case with Pennsylvania as well. Final results are not yet in as several states continue to count votes.
To certify the outcome an electoral college vote is set for Monday, December 14th. Trump’s team was scheduled to appear in court Monday as part of their legal challenge. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Donald Trump continues to allege that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him. On Sunday morning he tweeted claims made by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich that alleged that Democrats stole what they had to steal.
That tweet and several others made by Trump were almost immediately flagged by Twitter for sharing misinformation.
While Trump’s tweets were being flagged, he was headed off to play another round of golf, as he did on Saturday while the election was drawing to a close.
Trump’s tweets seem to indicate that he has no intention of backing down or conceding. Trump continues to push false rhetoric that the election was stolen from him despite the fact that signs show the situation is fracturing his family with his two oldest sons at odds with son-in-law Jared Kushner as well as Melania Trump, who believe Trump should concede.
On Sunday morning, Trump met with his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani is pushing Trump to contest the election. Giuliani would later tell media outlets that he had ‘four or five’ lawsuits which would be ready by the end of the week.
Giuliani went on to claim that Republican observers were not allowed close enough to see mail-in ballots being processed in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. He also alleged that dead people in Philadelphia had voted in the past.
Giuliani then claimed that he would sue in Nevada, which has been called for Biden, without specifying exactly how.
When the attorney was asked ‘where is Bill Barr on this?’ he said: ‘I don’t know and I can’t worry about that.’
Giuliani claims that he has ’50 witnesses’ to voter fraud, and might make ‘one or two’ public. Giuliani also claimed to have evidence that proved that Joe and Hunter Biden were corrupt. Knowing when Giuliani is telling the truth has become a difficult task.
South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham is also pushing Trump not to concede.
‘If we don’t challenge and change the U.S. election system, there will never be another Republican president elected again,’ Graham claimed.
As for Ivanka Trump, sources told DailyMail.com that she has reportedly been quietly urging her father to concede the election to Joe Biden to help preserve her image for her own future White House run.
Don Jr. and Eric are both pushing their father to fight and have spent much of their time retweeting claims from Republican operatives that included the late boxer Joe Frazier voting in Philadelphia and that the state’s counting software was rigged against Republicans, all of which are unfounded claims.
Eric Trump has called for a ‘manual recount’ of all ballots. Don Jr. retweeted an anti-concession demand accusing Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania of ‘rampant fraud.’
The signs of an ugly family split are showing and would only add new drama to the situation.
