A Florida man is accused of possibly fracturing the nose of a CVS employee while cursing at Vice President Joe Biden.
According to CBS 4, David Frick, 29, entered the store on Sunday and “began striking the employee,” according to Gainesville police. During the assault, Frick allegedly yelled, “F—k, Joe Biden.”
“The victim was in the back getting ice cream out of the freezer when Frick grabbed the victim and hit her in the face multiple times,” WCJB noted.
“After falling, Police say Frick got on top of her and punched her more. A customer tackled Frick to stop the attack, and then he punched the customer in the face and ran out of the store, according to the arrest report,” CBS 4 reported.
Later, police arrested Frick.
Frick resisted being asked for his name when police detained him. Frick then defied the police and resisted getting into the rear of the patrol car.
Frick was previously found guilty in July of battery on a police officer, fireman, or emergency medical technician. His sentence included receiving treatment for mental health illness.
He is currently being charged with violence and obstructing police. He is being jailed in the Alachua County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
Police found Frick shortly after on West University Ave and they detained him. They say the employee had a bloody lip and possibly a broken nose and the customer had swelling on his face.
The CVS staffer reportedly had a broken nose and a bloodied lip. The victim of the attack experienced face edema.
Frick was accused of violence, a felony.
“He has a prior conviction for battery on a law enforcement officer, after shoving a nurse at the jail,” the report said.
