Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner appeared on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber, and he seemed to have some most ominous news for Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani. In fact, it seems that Kirschner thinks Trump will throw Giuliani away with the rest of the White House has-beens when it comes to the heat being turned up on this Ukraine scandal which is, of course, no the subject of a House of Representatives impeachment inquiry. Kirshner said of Trump’s implying that Giuliani just might be the guilty party in all this:
“So I think the message that is being sent is that Rudy Giuliani better be prepared to take the fall.”
“After all, look at Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, he’s in jail for a crime that he did in concert — in coordination — with Donald Trump,” he explained. “Donald Trump is still sitting in the Oval Office.”
“It sounds like Trump may be preparing to pull a Michael Cohen on Rudy Giuliani.”

The thing is, the narrative that Glenn Kirschner is referencing here is all too predictable. From former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was the first U.S. Senator to endorse Trump for President, whom he humiliated before firing unceremoniously on Twitter, to former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, who was pushed out amid the Charlottesville scandal, to former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, who Trump pushed out in favor of hiring sycophant turned Trump critic Anthony Scaramucci – all of it – Trump has shown his only loyalty lies with himself. Not with the nation, the military, or the oath of office. His loyalty even stretches so far with his base, and that only lasts so long as he needs them. It makes sense that if Giuliani is someone who can take the fall on this very grave situation, then Trump would put the wheels in motion to get the focus off of himself and the impeachment inquiry and onto the likes of Rudy Giuliani.
It really would behoove the Republican Party and the conservative movement writ large to realize that Trump cares not one iota for anyone by himself and saving his own skin. He does not care about the GOP, the country, the military, or anything else except how he looks to the world, and how to stay out of trouble, because that is what malignant narcissists do.
