Here comes trouble again for President Donald Trump. An ex-Trump Organization executive has taken aim at the president and blasted him with an upcoming memoir. The Los Angeles Times published select parts on Friday.
Former honcho Barbara A. Res opens up about Trump his alleged racism going back several decades. Her new book titled “Tower of Lies: What My 18 Years of Working with Donald Trump Reveals about Him” to be released on Tuesday, October 20th. Only 2 weeks away from Election Day.
She chronicled, “The seeds of who he is today were planted back when I worked with him. He was able to control others, through lies and exaggeration, with promises of money or jobs, through threats of lawsuits or exposure. He surrounded himself with yes-men, blamed others for his own failures, never took responsibility, and always stole credit.”
Then added, “These tactics are still at work, just deployed at the highest levels of the U.S. government, with all the corruption and chaos that necessarily ensue.” There is clearly evidence of that.
Also Res announced, “bigotry and bias control Donald’s view of the world,” She referred to a pair of incidents where Trump allegedly made some racist remarks about African Americans.
Beyond that Res claimed Trump’s ability to lie “so naturally” that “if you didn’t know the actual facts, he could slip something past you.” Evidently she figured it was time to tell all.
Over the past four years, Trump has been dogged by allegations of racism. Many point to stiff immigration policies and his nationalist rhetoric. And he’s denounced the Black Lives Matter movement. Plus Trump flatly dismissed the 1619 Project, an afro-centric recount of U.S. history.
Rival Democrat Joe Biden taking Trump to task several times. But Biden has got a checkered history on civil rights as well. So far Trump hasn’t addressed the latest charges.
The pattern of Barbara Res coming forward just before the general election in November is repeating itself, as Res gave an interview to the Daily Beast in 2016 as well, saying Trump was “a supreme sexist” and a “megalomaniac”.
Speaking of the infamous 2016 Access Hollywood tape in which Trump could be heard bragging about grabbing women, Res said, “I had never heard him say ‘p**sy’ before. I heard him say ‘f*ck’ a million times. The way he said it—I just grab it—I was shocked at that, and then you know, when I took the time to put it into context, I said, ‘yeah, that’s right.’”
Res said further, “He’s terribly sexist. He’s a womanizer for sure…He hired me for a specific reason: Because I was really good. And he told me, and he believed this, that women had to work harder and be smarter and were willing to work harder than men, and that’s what he wanted, and he had a couple of women working for him… ‘Men are better than women,’ he said, ‘but a good woman is better than 10 men.’ I think he thought I would take it as a compliment, and I think it was intended as a compliment.”
Res added “Now, I don’t think he respects anybody. I don’t think there’s a person alive that he respects, because he thinks he’s God.”
