Many Trump critics are taking joy from rumors that Melania may divorce Donald Trump once they have exited the White House.
Several Trump critics have stated they believe that Melania, who is 24-years younger than Trump will leave him even though she has stayed with him through the humiliation of sexual assault allegations and an affair with Stormy Daniels.
However, one individual that knows Trump and Melania too well, disagrees. He believes Melania will stick by her man.
“I don’t think Melania leaves Donald. She’s very willingly complicit in his schemes and holds his beliefs as her own,” Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, and fixer recently said.
“Those two deserve each other,” Cohen added.
Cohen isn’t alone in his beliefs. Melania’s former best friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff has also publicly stated that she does not believe that Melania is even considering divorce.
Melania Trump’s chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, has rebuked comments made that Melania is just waiting to leave the White House to divorce her husband.
“This question is pathetic and exactly why people no longer trust the mainstream media,” Grisham said in a statement. “No legitimate journalist would ask this.”
Mary Jordan the author of “The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump” and her collogue Jada Yaun say that divorce talk is just “wishful thinking” by Trump critics.
“Tired of the president calling others ‘losers,’” anti-Trumpers wouldn’t mind seeing him humiliated by his beautiful, younger wife leaving him, especially when he’s already down,” Jordan and Yuan wrote.
“Maybe Melania is similar to America: A big part of her admires Donald Trump, even if another part of her is appalled by him,” they added.
The divorce talk has followed Trump throughout his presidency because he and Melania are not easily affectionate with each other and it has been reported publicly that they sleep in separate rooms that aren’t even in the same wing of the White House.
Over the past four years, several video clips of Melania refusing to hold Trump’s hand have gone viral.
Though Melania did have some success as a model after marrying Trump she gained a cushy life, had a child, multiple homes, closets full of designer clothes and shoes. She has traveled the world and has employees that wait on her every need.
By marrying Melania, Trump gained an ally, someone he trusts in ways he doesn’t trust anyone else, Jordan wrote in her book. She added that Trump has also come to rely on Melania’s “amazing political instincts.”
“A lot of people want her to leave him as some kind of a payback, but I don’t see Melania Trump be that type of a person,” Elizabeth J. Natalie, an author of books on first ladies.
“She’s consistently said in her interviews that she’s a big girl. She knows what she’s doing.”
