Results from a new Fox News poll appear to prove that Americans have more in common with their counterparts on the other side of the political spectrum than most believed.
The new poll found that a majority of Americans support many big-ticket Democratic policies. Those policies include abortion rights, stricter gun control, government healthcare, green energy, as well as a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
Specifically, the new Fox News poll found that 72% of Americans favor switching to a government-run healthcare plan and 71% percent believe that the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Roe v. Wade should remain in place.
The poll also showed that 55% of Americans support stricter gun control. It also revealed that 72% of those polled believed that there needed to be a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
The majority of those polled also believed that racism in society and policing was a major problem. Those polled were also concerned about climate change and supported the country moving toward green energy.
Those polled also supported wearing masks because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In relation to Donald Trump, 58% believed that he did not properly deal with Russia and 44% believe that because of Trump’s actions our country is less safe.

The poll literally showed that the majority polled hold liberal views. After its release, many social media users questioned if the poll was real. Other Twitter users were stunned. One Twitter user, @WilTrahan wrote, “It’s like they’re starting to get it, right before our eyes.”
The Trump administration has made becoming an American citizen for immigrants an almost impossible task. His nomination of now-Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett has put women’s abortion rights at risk. Trump has made it clear that he does not believe in climate change and that he believes moving toward green energy is a mistake. So his favorite media outlet’s latest poll shows most Americans disagree with many of Trump’s biggest views.
