Donald Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany graduated from Georgetown Law School this week.
Trump turned to Twitter to congratulate her. “Congratulations to my daughter, Tiffany” the tweet began. So far so good, but then he went on to state that he needed a lawyer in the family.
Trump continued with “Great student, great school. Just what I need is a lawyer in the family. Proud of you Tiff!”
Trump’s tweet came at the same time as four members of the Trump family were named in a lawsuit for alleged charity fraud. Tiffany and 14-year-old Barron were the only siblings not mentioned in the suit.
The lawsuit and Trump’s comment about needing a lawyer in the family caused the type of congratulations that Tiffany was receiving become something very different. It did not take long for the hashtag #CongratulationsTiffany to trend.
Singer Ricky Dávila congratulated Tiffany on “being the only Trump not being scrutinized for fraud.”
“Congratulations to Tiffany for managing to stay out of your crooked orbit all this time. What you need ISN’T a lawyer in the family. You just need someone whose job is to remind you that you have TWO daughters,” tweeted Brooklyn Dad Defiant.
The Anti-Fox! Tweeted, “Good for her, bad for you! She can’t represent you & retain her integrity (not that it would concern you..all you care about is what hells you) Worse she now knows legally what she’s know n all along, her dad is a criminal. She could sink you…..better be very very nice to her.”
“Congratulations Tiffany. Now run as fast as you possibly can to get away from your corrupt family, they will take you down with them,” Louoxy tweeted.
Ginny Wit tweeted, “She graduated yesterday. No one in the “family” was there or even congratulated her until it was pointed out on Twitter. Then, he finally posts a ham-handed post about how he needs a lawyer. Everything so about him. Family Values? Hardly.”
“Congratulations Tiffany on being the only adult Trump child to not be penalized for charity fraud. (Fortunately, FOX & #maga fans still don’t know about that)” tweeted comedian John Fugelsang.
