Conservative radio host Eric Erickson opened up on President Donald Trump and his faithful supporters on Monday night. Erickson didn’t hold back.
He announced they should stop blaming everyone else for their loss, and accept the reality of the election results. This coming more than three weeks after major news outlets declared Democrat Joe Biden as the winner of 2020’s presidential race.
As Erickson expressed, “I say this as a supporter and donor of the President’s re-election effort.” Then claimed, “According to the Trump World narrative, the President was failed by multiple chiefs of staff, his first attorney general, and now his second.”
In addition, “The Durham investigation that would expose everything is exposing nothing, not even itself. But just you wait and see!” U.S. Attorney John Durham of Connecticut tasked with investigating roots of the Russian collusion probe by Attorney General William Barr in 2019.
Plus Erickson added, “The Republican governors of Georgia and Arizona and the Republican legislators of Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin are in on picking the infrastructure that stole the election and will do nothing to stop it.”
This following wild charges from right wing legal counsel alleging a massive conspiracy to commit election fraud. The president even going so far as to implicate fellow Republican state officials.
Erickson further stated, “The Republican Party in Georgia is unable to get the Republican Governor, Lt. Gov., Secretary of State, or Attorney General to act to do the President’s bidding, so they all must be in cahoots with Stacey Abrams who they all dislike.”
Along with, “Dominion Voting Systems handed the vote to Donald Trump in all the counties in which their machines were used in Pennsylvania, but was in on the act of stealing the election there and elsewhere.”
And argued, “Maybe…and I know this might just blow your mind…but maybe what if you’ve been lied to the whole time. There is no conspiracy . There is no theft of the election. The President hired highly competent people, but it is him, not them, that is the problem.”
As he continued, “And then maybe, just maybe, because it is him, not them, that is the problem, ultimately it is really you who are the problem because you so willingly got played and even now want to be played because now you’re emotionally invested in a cause and a candidate and…”

Adding that, “…to admit you were played and he lost and there was no deep state conspiracy or theft of the election would actually make you look bad. So it’s better to double down on the lies and bullshit and blame everyone else …”
A hard pill to swallow for the loyal Trump supporters.
This all coming on the heels of a scathing op-ed piece from conservative outlet The National Review on Monday titled ‘Trump’s Disgraceful Endgame.’ Which piles on President Donald Trump and his long shot efforts to reverse reported presidential election results.
They begin, “President Trump said the other day that he’d leave office if he loses the vote of the Electoral College on December 14. This is not the kind of assurance presidents of the United States typically need to make, but it was noteworthy given Trump’s disgraceful conduct since losing his bid for reelection to Joe Biden on November 3.”
Then added. “The Trump team (and much of the GOP) is working backwards, desperately trying to find something, anything to support the president’s aggrieved feelings, rather than objectively considering the evidence and reacting as warranted. And argued, “the president can’t stand to admit that he lost.”
Trump has refused to concede the race. Some indications are he may never admit defeat. Plus they stated, “Almost nothing that the Trump team has alleged has withstood the slightest scrutiny. In particular, it’s hard to find much that is remotely true in the president’s Twitter feed these days. It is full of already-debunked claims and crackpot conspiracy theories about Dominion voting systems.”
In addition, “Flawed and dishonest assertions like this pollute the public discourse and mislead good people who make the mistake of believing things said by the president of the United States.” Also, “It’s his legal right to file suits, of course, but he shouldn’t pursue meritless litigation in Hail Mary attempts to get millions of votes tossed out. This is exactly what he’s been doing, it’s why reputable GOP lawyers have increasingly steered clear, and it’s why Trump has suffered defeat after defeat in court.”
The president’s legal team is a make shift outfit. At least two major law firms have dropped him as a client in recent weeks. As they continued. “The idea, as the Trump team stalwartly maintains, that the Supreme Court is going to take up this case and issue a game-changing ruling is fantastical. Conservative judges have consistently rejected Trump’s flailing legal appeals, and the justices are unlikely to have a different reaction.”
Further they tore into Trump. “Trump’s most reprehensible tactic has been to attempt, somewhat shamefacedly, to get local Republican officials to block the certification of votes and state legislatures to appoint Trump electors in clear violation of the public will.” A damning charge to make.
While adding, “This has gone nowhere, thanks to the honesty and sense of duty of most of the Republicans involved, but it’s a profoundly undemocratic move that we hope no losing presidential candidate ever even thinks of again.”
