Reports have recently surfaced in the last couple of days claiming to verify a White House Whistleblower’s real identity. In a letter penned as “urgent” the confirmed CIA Analyst claimed that President Donald J. Trump was “using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country” toward his re-election campaign. A Real Clear Investigations report on Wednesday revealed the name of a government official fitting that description — Eric Ciaramella — has been raised privately in impeachment depositions, according to officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings.
An important note first here as the claimant wrote “I was not a direct witness to most of the events described,” the whistleblower continued. “However, I found my colleagues’ accounts of these events to be credible because, in almost all cases, multiple officials recounted fact patterns that were consistent with one another.” That might raise some questions regarding the validity of such allegations. The document also declared “The President’ s personal lawyer, Mr. Rudolph Giuliani, is a central figure in this effort. Attorney General Barr appears to be involved as well.”
Beyond that a reason to give us pause. As federal records show that Biden’s office invited Ciaramella to an October 2016 state luncheon the vice president hosted for Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Other invited guests included Brennan, as well as then-FBI Director James Comey and then-National Intelligence Director James Clapper. Plus worked for Biden on policy issues with regard to Ukraine. Federal documents further indicate the 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the (President Barack) Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump. Ciaramella was once Ukraine director at National Security Council late in Obama’s tenure.
Conservative radio host and political pundit Rush Limbaugh stated on Thursday “This guy was involved from the get-go, starting in 2016.” Limbaugh added “The guy was a plant in the White House by the CIA to do exactly what he did. We know his name. He’s one of a dime-a-dozen Yale or Harvard graduates, literally a 30-year-old Pajama Boy doing the bidding of John Brennan in the White House.” The complaint was registered with Inspector General of the Intelligence Community Michael Atkinson on August 12th. And then was officially made public six weeks later.
Then fearing their anonymous witness could be exposed, Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking more questions about him and intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts. Many critics are expressing their objections about how the House is handling this case. That much more following a partisan power play put on by Congress yesterday. With the passing of a new House Resolution effectively redefining an impeachment inquiry to be heavily stacked in their favor. While House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff lied saying there was no earlier contact between his office and the whistleblower. Yet Schiff would eventually admit he previously had met with that person for “guidance.”
As attorneys for that anonymous client Mark Zaid and Andrew Bakaj communicated to the Washington Examiner in a statement: “We neither confirm nor deny the identity of the Intelligence Community Whistleblower.” They continued “Our client is legally entitled to anonymity. Disclosure of the name of any person who may be suspected to be the whistleblower places that individual and their family in great physical danger. Any physical harm the individual and/or their family suffers as a result of disclosure means that the individuals and publications reporting such names will be personally liable for that harm. Such behavior is at the pinnacle of irresponsibility and is intentionally reckless.”
Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified on September 26th the whistleblower ‘acted in good faith’ and did ‘everything by the book.’ When will the truth finally be told?
