Previously, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) toured the nation together to raise money while criticizing moderate Republicans as being RINOs because they didn’t support the MAGA agenda (Republicans in name only).
Greene now appears prepared to leave her association with Gaetz in the rearview mirror after landing positions on important committees including the House Oversight Committee and the Homeland Security Committee.

Gaetz heartily congratulated Greene on getting a position in Homeland Security. He praised her and said she would do a terrific job since she had “deserved” it.
Greene retaliated by yelling at her former friend and claiming that if it weren’t for Gaetz’s antics, she would have been on her committees sooner.
In Congress, Gaetz founded the anti-McCarthy club, which refused to back him at all costs, regardless of the concessions. Despite jeopardizing his own position, McCarthy was still able to remove a handful of the members by giving them whatever they desired.

“Thanks to [Speaker McCarthy] and [the] Steering [committee] for voting me on the committees I requested on the submission form most of us filled out,” Greene tweeted in response to Gaetz on Wednesday. “Too bad we’re weeks behind after you spent a week only getting MTV from 5 to 1. As the leading MAGA voice in Congress, I look forward to committees.”
Gaetz is made fun of for being on the Speaker’s bad list while Greene is becoming more and more significant in the burn. Greene was only elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2022, serving a two-year term in Congress. Gaetz, who was first elected in 2016, has served in Congress for three times as long.
Greene’s friendship with Rep. Lauren Boebert has also come to an end.

During the drawn-out speaker vote earlier this month, Greene and Boebert apparently had a disagreement in the bathroom.
The Republican congresswomen occupied opposing positions in the party’s battle for the speakership. While Boebert opposed Kevin McCarthy, Greene stubbornly stood by him and ultimately won the gavel.
The Daily Beast was informed by several individuals that on January 3, the first day of the new Congress, Greene and Boebert got into a yelling war in the restroom next to the Speaker’s office.

During the bathroom altercation “Greene questioned Boebert’s loyalty to McCarthy, and after a few words were exchanged, Boebert stormed,” one source said.

One account claimed that after Greene questioned Boebert about his commitment to McCarthy, Boebert stormed the room.
“You were OK taking millions of dollars from McCarthy but you refuse to vote for him for speaker, Lauren?” Greene reportedly said.
Greene apparently questioned Boebert about taking McCarthy’s money while he was in the bathroom, but Boebert was unaware that Greene was inside the stall.

Boebert joined a group of conservative House Republican Conference members who opposed Mr. McCarthy’s effort to become speaker. Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona, Bob Good of Virginia, and Matt Gaetz of Florida were also opposed to McCarthy for a variety of reasons before finally giving up and letting Mr. McCarthy become speaker during a round of late-night votes.
