Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner left the political scene, but they were active during the Donald Trump administration, where they are now accused of aiding the effort to try to topple Vice President Mike Pence for the 2020 election. The former secretary of state’s upcoming book, Never Give an Inch: Fighting for the America I Love, contains those accusations.
The excerpt alleges that the pair conspired with Nikki Haley, who was then the ambassador to the UN, to have her serve as Donald Trump’s running mate. Pompeo and John Kelly were reportedly irritated when Haley even managed to obtain a solo meeting without them. She was actually accompanied by Kushner and Ivanka.

“As best Kelly could tell, they were presenting a possible ‘Haley for vice-president’ option,” Pompeo wrote. “I can’t confirm this, but [Kelly] was certain he had been played, and he was not happy about it. Clearly, this visit did not reflect a team effort but undermined our work for America.”
The information provided by Pompeo also confirms 2019 speculations that Donald Trump was prepared to replace Mike Pence with Haley. Nikki would be terrific, but Mike Pence has done an incredible job as our vice president, said Donald Trump to Fox & Friends. Trump never confirmed the rumors that conversations were taking place behind closed doors. He is my friend and he is our guy, he declared. It continues to be puzzling that the former vice president still has some sympathy for his former running mate, despite the fact that the Trump family’s involvement in the administration has repeatedly been proved to have weakened his authority.

Since leaving the White House Ivanka and Jared have reportedly been dealing with marital issues.
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner may be feeling a little down or pressured right now. The holidays can be a hard time for any family. The couple recently went to a yacht party in Miami, and it appeared that they were frigid with each other.

They were “cold” around each other, according to a Page Six source, and they didn’t spend much time talking to one another.“They stood in the same group, but almost as acquaintances,” the insider noted. “As they moseyed around the party, they kept their distance [from each other] — never too close; never too far apart.” However, Ivanka seemed to enjoy herself and reportedly had “a very confident ‘night out on the town’s look and feel about her.”
Ivanka is still a party to the $250 million civil lawsuit that the New York attorney general has initiated against her, her father, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization, despite the fact that she has entirely disassociated herself from Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. She has her own attorneys working on the matter and is remaining wholly independent of the legal team representing her family; she is truly through with the Trump company.

Even though Kushner is now employed by the private sector, the pair hasn’t been able to resume the opulent social life they had prior to Donald Trump’s election as president in 2016. After their time in Washington, D.C., their group of friends significantly shrunk. The couple may have simply had a rough night due to the chaos surrounding them, but their behavior was out of character for a couple that frequently displays PDA.
Ivanka had made it clear that she wants nothing to do with her father’s 2024 presidential campaign. She didn’t even attend the event in which he announced his run.

Unnamed sources reportedly informed the New York Post that Ivanka wanted out and to lead “as normal a life as she can.”
Arabella, 11, Joseph, 9, and Theodore, 6, are her children with her husband, Jared Kushner.
