The stars appear to be aligning against President Donald Trump now. Famed DNC strategist James Carville went on the record Monday.
He told MSNBC that Trump will get routed in his bid for a second term. His claim supported by former campaign manager for President Barack Obama David Plouffe.
As Carville clobbered the president over his controversial campaign stop in North Carolina. “That event was literally insane.” Plus pointed to Trump’s curious focus on Fox News. Carville made it clear he wasn’t worried.
“I am not the least bit concerned about the outcome tomorrow night, and I’m not the least bit concerned that we’re going to have to wait weeks or months to find out what the result is. We’ll know and we’ll know early.”
This declaration echoes a prediction he made weeks before in mid-October. Except it has been bumped up to an even earlier time. He had announced, “Not only are we going to know election night, we’re going to know at 10:30 Eastern. This thing is not going to be close.” The ex-adviser to Pres. Bill Clinton brimming with confidence.
Carville also touched on alleged dirty tactics being utilized by the GOP. Among them voter suppression efforts and legal challenges like a Texas Biden bus assault and law enforcement allegedly pepper-spraying Black voters.
In addition to a star studded lineup of supporters, Biden can count on late night legend David Letterman backing him. The legendary tv host gave his take to Vulture. “I believe he will lose it big, and it will be a relief to every living being in this country, whether they realize it now or not.” Quite a statement from Letterman right there.
Plus he argued, “It certainly will be a relief to me and my family, and I think generally the population. I’m more confident now than I was then, and I was pretty confident then. I was wrong. I don’t think I’ll be wrong this time.”
Carville also predicted in October a triple crown win for the Democrats, claiming they would take a majority in both the Senate and House of Representatives. And Republicans will suffer a devastating blow according to the Democrats’ soothsayer.
He did admit feeling nervous with so much at stake.
Then added President Donald Trump was tumbling in the polls. “But I feel very good about where the Democrats are. And I’ll probably see as much polling as anybody in the country.”
Carville continued, “And if anything, it continues to improve. I kind of thought the natural gravity would take it down, but that doesn’t seem to be happening as of yet.”
Along with looking ahead to a celebration.
“And we’ve got three weeks before we go to post. I’m ready to go. I think we’re going to know, and I anticipate opening a bottle of champagne. Brian, maybe I’ll share it with you by distance.
