Kanye West has been making headlines recently for his recent appearances. West’s latest attention- grabbing appearance was with former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
On Thursday night, the rapper stepped out in the city with the former White House senior adviser for a ‘no business agenda’ event.
The duo enjoyed a “private” meal. Kushner wore a black sweater while the 44-year-old rapper wore a bright yellow hoodie.
The two friends last met in August 2020, when West acknowledged his meeting with Kushner following accusations that he was stealing votes from Joe Biden.
Meanwhile, after supper in New York, the Heartless singer and his new ladylove Julia Fox celebrated their first date on New Year’s Day.
West and his wife Kim Kardashian West visited Kushner and Trump at the White House to discuss their ideas on sentencing reform. According to the tabloid, West previously stated, “I love Jared… that’s my boy, you know?” in an interview.
Kushner had a key role in the Trump administration’s Middle East policy as a senior adviser to the president, most notably as the architect of the Abraham Accords, a diplomatic normalization pact involving the US, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.
West is a very influential superstar who has garnered international popularity for his quirky personality as well as his original, modern composition and production and violent rap style, which have earned him 22 Grammy Awards over his two-decade career.
In a meeting arranged by Trump administration officials earlier this year, a former West publicist was accused of attempting to pressure a Georgia election worker into falsely implicating herself in Trump’s disproven allegations of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, according to Reuters. A West representative told the news organization that the publicist was not affiliated with West at the time.
After The New York Times learned of his meeting with the White House senior adviser and asked him for comment, he took to Twitter to confirm it.
‘I’m willing to do a live interview with the New York Times about my meeting with Jared where we discussed Dr. Claude Anderson’s book Powernomics,’ he wrote.
West did not elaborate on his discussion with Kushner, instead of expressing his displeasure with abortion rates among black women and declaring his opposition to Democrats.
A few days later, Kushner confirmed that he had spoken with West and other members of West’s billionaire presidential campaign multiple times.
‘Kanye’s been a friend of mine for — I’ve known him for about 10 years,’ Kushner said during a White House press briefing.
‘There’s a lot of issues that the president has championed that he admires,’ Kushner, who is also Trump’s son-in-law, said of the rapper and aspiring president.
