Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), two former far-right allies in the House, are still engaged in a civil war after the Colorado Republican accused Greene of bullying her in the restroom.
Taylor Greene reportedly questioned Boebert in the prior report “You were OK taking millions of dollars from McCarthy, but you refuse to vote for him for Speaker, Lauren?” to which the Colorado Republican shot back, “‘Don’t be ugly,” before leaving the bathroom.

The Daily Beast quotes Boebert as saying, “My colleague from Georgia, the gentlewoman from Georgia, came up and started, you know, being kind of nasty about it. And no one else had been nasty about it. Everyone had been very professional.” And nobody else had shown ill will against it. Everybody had been really competent.
She added, “And so when she started going after me, I looked at her and said, ‘Don’t be ugly.’ That’s something that my granny used to say to me when I was being a brat.”

Asked, “You guys were kind of like BFFs there for a while, weren’t you?” Boebert dismissed the notion, telling Loesch, “I think the media saw two women in Congress, you know, there was nothing against her. We travel in the same circles, and have the same policy views on a lot of things—not everything! But on many things.”
Boebert recently made headlines when the current House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, was overheard ranting and cursing at caucus members in a closed-door meeting before they were due to go to the floor to vote on a new speaker, according to a report from CNN’s Manu Raju.

According to CNN’s Raju, the California Republican reiterated to his colleagues, “I’ve earned this job,” as concerns about the besieged Republican leader’s ability to secure the gavel on the first election grew.
“We’re hearing things are getting very heated behind closed doors. Kevin McCarthy is essentially done with negotiating with this block of conservatives who are seeking a number of concessions to weaken the speakership, to empower them, and he said he’s gone so far and they have refused to get to yes and he’s raising his voice and detailing everything that he’s done and said, quote, ‘I’ve earned this job,” Raju stated while speaking with hosts Jim Sciutto and Erica Hill.

“Now he is also getting some pushback in the room” Raju continued. “Our sources are telling our Capitol Hill team that [Rep.] Lauren Boebert said ‘bullshit’ in response to what Kevin McCarthy said.”
Boebert recently made headlines when a letter published in the December 25 edition of the Durango Herald rubs salt into the fresh wounds, lambasting Boebert’s behavior in regard to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the United States.

According to multiple reports, Boebert and fellow Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz (Florida) refused to applaud or stand during Zelensky’s time addressing members of Congress —behavior that could easily be labeled disrespectful or inappropriate given the circumstances.
