Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado is an outspoken opponent of masks, as indicated by her anti-COVID statements and a history of disobeying mask restrictions on the House floor.
According to Politico’s Sarah Ferris and ABC News’ Ben Siegel, her hate for masks is now prompting her to physically attack individuals.
“Wow. GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert just threw a mask in the face of a floor staffer when she came to the floor not wearing one, per someone watching the exchange,” Ferris tweeted this Wednesday.

“Rep. Lauren Boebert just threw a mask back at a Democratic floor staffer who tried to give her one, per source on the House floor who saw it happen. As of last night, the latest House guidance requires mask-wearing on the floor and in most group meetings/spaces.”

The reported event follows the House’s restoration of a mask requirement.
“For all House Office Buildings, the Hall of the House, and House Committee Meetings, wearing of a well-fitted, medical-grade, filtration face mask is required when an individual is in an interior space and other individuals are present,” read an announcement from the Capitol physician.
ON Wednesday, Boebert tweeted a video of Trump to express her displeasure with the rule.

Boebert recently made headlines when she stated that she is like Moses because she has “perseverance” in the face of communism.
Boebert credited God for her restaurant’s success during a speech to the Turning Point USA Student Action Summitt.
“I put my faith and trust in God and I said if I commit my actions to the Lord, my plans will be successful,” the congresswoman told the crowd. “And now Shooters Grill has been open for eight years.”
“And this has never been about me,” Boebert continued. “This is about liberty, this is about freedom, the American dream. This is about you. And that’s why this movement is not slowing down. And that right there is where boldness becomes perseverance.”
Boebert insisted that she perseveres in Congress by pointing to a Bible verse in which she claimed God said, “He will fight for you.”
“When I have a bold idea, I am able to persevere because that idea is usually bigger than me,” she continued. “And I know if it’s bigger than me, God has to be involved!”
“Right after God said that to Moses, he said, why are you crying out to me, tell the people [to] go forward with what is in your hand,” Boebert remarked. “So, I’m telling you all now, be bold, persevere, and go forward with what is in your hand right now.”
Boebert claims that her resemblance to Moses allows her to “take on” Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-CA) and Cuban communists.
