#MagaJaw trended on Twitter on Sunday after a vocal Trump-supporting UFC fighter had his jaw broken by a fighter from “one of those sh*thole countries.”
Colby Covington often champions Donald Trump. He wears a MAGA hat and often makes tweets thanking Trump for his support. However, it is now Covington’s jaw that needs to be supported after his fight on Saturday night.
Covington took on the “Nigerian Nightmare” Kamaru Usman in a UFC 245 match in Las Vegas. Kamaru was defending his welterweight championship. He won the bout at the 4:10 mark during the fifth round by a technical knockout.
Usman bragged about his victory afterward and social media users followed suit and quickly had #MagaJaw trending. Social media users were quick to point out that Usman’s powerful hits broke Covington’s jaw.
We all bleed the same. This was also for the “UNITED” States of America!! I’m taking this belt to the whites house @danawhite @realDonaldTrump pic.twitter.com/7Vc4p6stUf

Supporters and friends thanked him for “Making America Great Again.”

“I told everyone I would keep it standing and knock him out and that’s exactly what I did,” Usman told reporters. “He chose not to shoot. I did what I wanted. I knew I was hitting hard to the body; I like hitting him there because it’s soft. I wasn’t worried about hitting him in specific spots, I just wanted to hit him over and over wherever I could.
“He talked a lot going into this, so this was a respect thing,” he added. “I had a responsibility to go in there and teach him a lesson.”

Covington. much like Trump. could not accept defeat and complained that he only lost because of a “fake ref.” Trump has his “fake news” and Covington apparently has an issue with a “fake ref.”
