According to two sources, who spoke to CNN, Melania Trump could not be bothered to write “thank you” notes to her staff that cared for and waited on her and her family for the past four years.
Trump staff of around 80 received a typewritten note that they assumed that Melania had penned to them. However, Melania didn’t feel thank you, staff, was important enough for her time so she got a lower-level East Wing staffer to write them for her. The staffer was told to write in “her voice.”

Melania didn’t sign the notes either, the staffer who penned them signed her name to them.
Several sources stated that since her husband lost the presidential election to Joe Biden she has been “checked out.” The sources say her duties were ignored and she “just wanted to go home.”
One source added that Melania was in no way “sad to be leaving” Washington or the White House.

One source shared that the “thank you” notes are customary for first ladies and the president as well. The thank you cards share their appreciation for their staff’s loyalty and hard work.
“Thank you” notes of the past have included personal anecdotes and the letters become “cherished keepsakes” for the departing staff members.

The butlers, cooks, housekeepers, ushers, and maintenance workers usually do not turn over when an administration leaves. Many of them have worked for the White House for decades.
Melania Trump exited the White House early Wednesday morning and returned to Florida where they will be staying at Trump’s private resort Mar-a-Lago.

According to a newly released CNN poll, Melania Trump left the White House with the lowest favorability rating of her tenure In the White House.
Forty-seven percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of her time as the first lady.

Since her husband lost the presidential election back in November, she has remained relatively quiet. She only participated in five public events in the last two and a half months. She attended the turkey pardon, the lighting of the White House Christmas tree, a rally in Georgia, the annual Toys for Tots gift event, and story reading at a children’s hospital.
She kept her White House Christmas decorations reveals private from the press. As we have previously reported when it came time for Melania to decorate the White House for Christmas, Twitter users had a field day.
Melania Trump put on her best smile as she welcomed the Trump family’s final Christmas tree to the White House on Tuesday.

Melanie appeared without a mask and appeared to be filled with the holiday spirit despite being caught on tape earlier this year, by a one-time best friend, Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, complaining “who gives a f*** about Christmas stuff.”
Decorating the White House was Melania’s last major job as the first lady. Dr. Jill Biden will step into the role in mid-January.

This year’s White House Christmas tree is an 18.5 ft tall Fraser Fir. The giant tree was delivered by a wagon pulled by Clydesdale horses, named Ben and Winston. The tree came from Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
Melania walked all around the tree inspecting it. The tree will sit inside the White House’s Blue Room.
“Merry Christmas,” she said as she smiled for cameras during the short event.

Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, who was at one-time the first lady’s close personal friend and advisor, publicly released audio recordings in which Melania could be heard complaining about being responsible for decorating the White House for Christmas.
“I can not go, I was trying to get the kid reunited with the mom. I didn’t have a chance, needs to go through the process and through the law.”
Melania posted about the arrival of the White House tree on Twitter and was immediately mocked for her recorded comments.

“Today I welcomed the arrival of the beautiful @WhiteHouse Christmas Tree! We are excited to begin decorating the People’s House for the holiday season! #WHChristmas”
Talia Sadote replied to Melania’s tweet with, “Thankfully we all know exactly how excited you truly are… In your own words.”

“Shouldn’t you be busy packing? It will be super cool having a First Lady that isn’t an ex-prostitute,” tweeted @TheRainReturns.

Twitter user Erika Lyn responded, “Maybe you should say something comforting to the families of the 255,076+ victims of Covid who won’t be there to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones this year because of your husband’s ineptitude.”
