On Tuesday, Mike Bloomberg’s senior advisor blasted Donald Trump Jr. by sharing “a list” of examples of his father’s “racism and bigotry.”
Tim O’Brien blasted Trump Jr. after the president’s son shared a clip of Bloomberg defending the controversial “stop and frisk” policy.
O’Brien described Donald Trump as a “flagrantly hateful racist” and then added that Bloomberg was not in the “same category” as Trump. O’Brien listed examples of Trump being racist toward minority lawmakers as well as people across the globe before his presidency and during.
O’Brien blasted Trump Jr. After a clip from 2015 of Bloomberg defending “stop and frisk.” Both Donald Trump and his son shared the clip on social media. Soon after the clip was shared the hashtag #BloombergIsARacist began to trend.
In the clip, Bloomberg can be heard saying: “Ninety-five percent of your murders and murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male minorities, 15 to 25.”
He can also be heard stating: “One of the unintended consequences is people say, ‘Oh my god, you are arresting kids for marijuana, they’re all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true, why? Because we put all the cops in minority neighborhoods. Yes, that’s true. Why did we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is. And the first thing you can do for people is to stop them from getting killed.”
Responding Trump Jr’s post in which he used the hashtag #MikeBloombergIsARacist O’Brien tweeted: “Your father is the most overt and flagrantly hateful racist and bigot of the modern presidency and nothing—absolutely nothing—in Mike Bloomberg’s background puts him in the same category as your dad.”

O’Brien then went on to make a list of both allegations and examples of Trump’s racism including his support of the Obama birtherism conspiracy theory that suggested that Obama had not been born in the United States.

O’Brien also listed Trump’s Muslim travel ban that was placed in seven different countries. He also brought up Trump telling four congresswomen of color to “go back” to the “totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.”

Neither Donald Trump or Trump Jr. have responded to O’Brien’s tweets.
