Legendary comic Sacha Baron Cohen is back once again. The comedy legend set sights on troubled Pres. Donald Trump and his administration.
With a new sequel billed as Borat 2: ‘Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.’
In an official trailer for the film, Cohen appears to don a costume dressing up as President Trump and crashing an event that features Vice President Mike Pence.
As Pence was delivering a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February.
While Rolling Stone reported:
The trailer finds a disguised Borat (since he’s so recognizable now) venturing to small-town America with his daughter amid the coronavirus pandemic, with the duo wreaking havoc at non-abortion clinics and debutante balls. “What is more dangerous? This virus or the Democrats?” Borat asks a pair of Trump voters. “The Democrats,” they reply.
The preview also features a scene where Borat — in a Trump costume — attempts to deliver his daughter to a confused Mike Pence mid-speech.
Major media even made mention of the incident earlier this year. Nobody knew it would be part of a stunt for the long-awaited follow up to Borat.
The upcoming release now set for Friday, October 23rd on Amazon Prime.
Cohen burst on the scene with an original smash in 2006 titled Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.’ His character Kazakhstani native Borat Sagdiyev became a cult classic which reportedly helped to earn the title over $260 million in box office revenues.
Prior to that, Cohen had starred in ‘Da Ali G Show’ for several years in the early 2000’s. A British television series heavy on satire. He served as writer and executive producer for a period on the program as well.
Also ex-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani apparently wasn’t fooled by Cohen’s antics. Giuliani called the cops on Cohen after he showed up to an interview in a pink bikini.
“I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”
