House Democrats have released even more evidence from Rudy Giuliani’s indicted associate Lev Parnas. This time the evidence includes photos, text messages and voice mails between Parnas and high- level associates close to Donald Trump.
The newly released evidence includes voicemail messages of Parnas’ from Giuliani and Trump lawyer Victoria Toesing. Both Giuliana and Toesing played a role in the effort to remove Marie Yovanovitch from her position as the ambassador to Ukraine.
“Hey, Lev. VT here. We’ve got a request to talk to the big one,” Toensing said can be heard in a voicemail left on April 23, 2019. “So, I just wanted to get the latest from you, if I could. I know it’s late there. I’m sorry.”
Toesing’s voicemail lines up perfectly with the activity that involved Yovanovitch’s ouster. Also, on April 23, Giuliani tweeted that Ukraine was opening an investigation into interference in the 2016 presidential elections. Trump recalled Yovanovitch from Ukraine on April 24.
The new evidence was released late Tuesday night just before House Democrats sent the articles of impeachment on to the Senate.
Last year, Parnas was issued a subpoena to be part of the House’s impeachment inquiry, but he refused to comply most likely at Trump’s request. In October, Parnas was arrested and indicted in charges related to campaign finances. Parnas was authorized by a federal judge earlier this month to turn over any evidence he had to the House Intelligence Committee.
House Democrats are working at a fast pace to include all of the new information into the investigative records, which is a prerequisite for using the materials during the Senate’s trial. The Senate trial is scheduled to start next week.
The evidence Parnas handed over includes photos of Parnas with Donald Trump as well as several members of his family and members of his administration.
One document shows a text exchange from back in May, only a few days before Yovanovitch was removed from her position. In the text message, Parnas sent a smiling emoji to an official at the Trump-affiliated America First Action PAC and suggests he’s going to a “meeting.”

“Jesus,” the official, Joseph Ahearn, replied back adding, “Be safe.”
There is also a text message from Giuliani in which he says he wants Parnas to relay a message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to “stop acting like a boy” and move forward in arresting a Ukrainian oligarch who was under investigation.
In documents that House Democrats released earlier this week was evidence that Donald Trump had signed off on his former counsel’s request to represent Parnas and his associate Igor Fruman in court.
