Ohio GOP candidate JD vance has hit the campaign trail. Not on foot yet, but he’s already starting with the attack ads.
Ads, especially attack ads, are pretty commonplace during an election year and as we roll into the 2022 midterm elections we are bound to see more and more of them from both sides of the aisle.
Vance, if you’re unfamiliar with him, is a massive hypocrite Republican. He once was so against Trump that Vance called him a con man. Then 3 years later, was suckling at Trump’s teet hoping for some political scraps.
Well, in true Trump surrogate fashion, Vance has gone full Trumper and asked if you hate Mexicans in his new campaign ad. Here’s the ad in its entirety, directly from Vance’s Twitter feed.

Are you a racist. Do you hate Mexicans? The media calls us racist for wanting to build Trump’s wall. They censor us, but it doesn’t change the truth. Joe Biden’s opened border is killing Ohioans with more illegal drugs and more Democrat voters pouring into this country. This issue is personal. I nearly lost my mother to the poison coming across our border. No child should grow up an orphan. Whatever they call us, we will put America first.
Ah yes here comes the America First slogan once again. What Vance, Trump, and all of the GOP fails to remember is that America is literally a country of immigrants so their entire argument is rendered moot.
But this isn’t the first time Vance has gone on a racist tirade in attack more.
During summer of last year, In a bid to win over Trump voters, Vance ratcheted up his anti-immigrant rhetoric, attacking Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) for welcoming Afghan migrants to America.
“Here is my message to Ben Sasse and other establishment Republicans who seem to care more about bringing 30,000 unvetted Afghan refugees into our country than getting our own people out safely,” Vance wrote on Twitter, and then shared a video in which he described Afghans coming to the United States as people who like “blowing themselves up in a mall because someone looked at their wife the wrong way.”

Vance’s newest attempt to sway Trump voters with prejudiced fearmongering about refugees attracted immediate criticism on social media.
Fred Wellman tweeted, “You racist asshole. “blowing themselves up in a mall because someone looked at their wife the wrong way.” I am so glad its part of my mission to make sure your bigoted ass never steps foot on the Senate floor. Those Afghan’s have ten times the courage of your pathetic ass.”
“Vance says the Afghans we’re helping include “a bunch of people who believe they should blow themselves up at a mall because somebody looked at their wife the wrong way.” While veterans work nonstop to help our Afghan allies, he remains an embarrassment to the entire community,” tweeted Brandon Friedman.
Adam H Johnson tweeted, “this is so funny, he can’t actually support Biden’s withdrawal because he is an “establishment Republican” on the dole of weapons contractors so his only angle is “why won’t the GOP be more racist?”

Vance launched his Senate campaign in Ohio back in July of 2021.
No doubt we will see more bigoted rhetorics from him as the midterms draw closer.
