A lyric in the song “Gang Signs” by rapper Snoop Dogg has tails wagging and has created some waves because in it he gives a shout out to Barack Obama. The song is part of Snoop Dogg’s new album “From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites.” The album was released on April 20.
The song lyric is not the first time that Obama has been linked to Snoop Dogg.

Last year, Snoop Dogg shared that the 2020 elections were the first time that he had voted in his life.
“This is the most important election of our lifetimes and it’s my first time voting. We need every single American to get out there and vote,” Snoop Dogg said in an ad at the time.
Snoop Dogg, 48, who was born Calvin Broadus, said, “It’s time for ya’ll to drop those ballots like they’re hot — in your local dropbox. Vote early and let ‘em know our voices will be heard!”

Snoop may have just voted for the first time, but he did publicly endorse Obama back in 2012. He also posted a list of reasons to vote Democrat on his Instagram page. In his justifications, he noted that Obama had hugged Beyonce and “smokes Newports.” If Snoop Dogg’s new lyrics are true Newports may not be the only thing Obama smoked.
In the lyrics to “Gang Signs” Snoop Dogg boasts, “Still sippin’ gin and juice while I’m smoking marijuana / I bet you never blew with Obama.”

Snoop Dogg did visit the Obama White House back in 2013 though there is no evidence that he got high with any member of the Obama family though Snoop has repeatedly claimed that he snuck marijuana into the White House.
During an episode of the YouTube show GGN: The Double G News Network back in 2014, Snoop Dogg claimed that he got high at the White House. “Have you ever smoked at the White House?” asked Jimmy Kimmel, who was appearing on Snoop’s show as a guest.

“Not in the White House, but in the bathroom,” Snoop replied. He also noted how he spoke to “the CIA or the FBI” about going to the bathroom. “When I do a number two, I usually have a cigarette or I light something to get the aroma right,” Snoop Dogg stated. He then added that they said he could “light a piece of napkin” if he wanted. “I said ‘I’ll do that,’ and the napkin was this,” he stated as he held up a joint and then took a long drag from it.
In 2015, Snoop repeated the story on Watch What Happens Live. He implied that there was more to the anecdote than he was allowed to tell. “It was an awesome experience; it was one for the ages,” Snoop told host Andy Cohen. “And I can’t wait for him too, you know, come out of the office so we can talk about what really, really, really went down.”
“And I met the butler,” Snoop added then added, “I slid him a little something-something.”
