Famed rapper and film actor Ice Cube made some stunning remarks on Monday. As he spoke of President Donald Trump to New York City radio station 105.1 The Breakfast Club.
A report from outlet newsbusters.org told:
The former member of the rap group NWA — who also enjoyed a successful solo career — was invited on The Breakfast Club to promote his pro-basketball league The Big 3, as well as his upcoming movie and music projects. When the conversation turned to music Ice Cube (real name O’Shea Jackson) said he wasn’t as interested in the industry but is still touring because “I still got stuff to say.”
That prompted Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God to remind the rapper about his 2018 song “Arrest the President,” in which Ice Cube rapped about Russian collusion and urged Robert Mueller to arrest Trump.
Host DJ Envy asked, “Are you getting back into music?” The former N.W.A. star stated, “I stay in music. I never leave. I’m touring, I got tour dates coming. I never stopped. It’s, it’s a part of who I am.”
Plus he added, “I love it and it’s really about just — you know — being a b-boy and not nothing else — you know? I’m not — I don’t care about the [music] industry as much as I used to but I do care about — you know — the music — doing it, still staying active. I still got stuff to say. So it’s fun.”
Co-host Charlamagne tha god also expressed, “I mean you did “Impeach the President” and they did impeach the president.” In reply Ice Cube declared, “Yeah I mean I said “Arrest the [President].” They still haven’t gotten to arrest the President. That’s what I want to do.” Then Charlamagne tha god announced, “Well he get out that White House, he definitely gonna be in handcuffs.” And Ice Cube replied, “Man. I can’t wait to see that, man.”
Though Ice Cube claimed in 2018 that, “You know, everybody got they policies, everybody got they, you know, wacky ways about the way things should go, but at the end of the day, there has to be class.”
As per usual, there is no question where Ice Cube stands.
