House Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) gave her personal opinion on President Donald Trump earlier this week. As the California Democrat spoke to Desus and MERO on Showtime from Capitol Hill.
“This guy is a street player,” Rep. Waters declared. “I mean, he’s a guy that has conned folks, he has flirted with gangsters. I have worked in some of the toughest communities. I’ve worked with gangs. I’ve worked with Crips. I’ve worked with Bloods. And there’s more integrity in many of these young people in the hood than this man has.” Then added, “This is a flawed character, and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
The president has long been at odds with Waters. Along with other political rivals of her home state. Waters recently called Trump a “mafia boss” after he advocated for lowering the sentence for his longtime associate Roger Stone.
She took to Twitter several days ago and stated, “Trump will pardon Flynn, Manafort, & Stone b/c the GOP cowards in the Sen bowed to his feet.” Adding that, “Repubs now stand for crime, corruption, autocracy, & Russia! They are PATHETIC!”
The 81 year old politician proclaimed she’s “uncomfortable” with the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. “I think now it boils down to all of us wanting someone that we feel comfortable can really beat Trump. This country cannot tolerate another four years of him,” Waters announced. “I have not endorsed anybody, and I’m going to wait until after South Carolina.”
Beyond that she asserted of Trump in a separate interview, “He will lift all of the sanctions from Russia. He will be even more involved with the oligarchs of Russia, and he’s going to bring Putin to the White House.”
In addition, “He’s going to put Putin right in our face. He’s going to say, ‘Be damned the Congress of the United States.'” Plus continued, “We have a president that’s out of control.”
Waters concluded, “He is going to get revenge, he is going to show you that there are no limits to the presidential power…He’s going to be even worse.”
And most certainly Trump will have some kind of reply.
