In an interview with Steve Bannon on his podcast “Real American Voice”, former Trump campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani slammed Fox News host Bret Baier and other reporters on Monday, calling them the “most incompetent in the history of the country” for refusing to admit that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
Bannon gushed over Giuliani, calling him a “gentleman” for not responding forcefully to author Michael Wolff’s claims that the Trump attorney was frequently drunk.
“You think attacks in these books are bad, you haven’t seen anything,” Bannon stated. “Rudy Giuliani was under relentless attacks to back off, essentially I think even some bribes if you backed off.”
“We would not be here today if it was not for Rudy Giuliani,” he added. “By the way, every anonymous person leaking that stuff are the gutless cowards that stabbed Trump in the back and did not step up.”
Bannon then inquired about Baier’s reporting on Arizona’s much faulted ballot audit.
“Bret Baier and Fox and the news show at six o’clock, when they saw the Arizona hearing last week, they said nothing to see here, it’s a couple of hundred votes, this is a waste of time, essentially Rudy Giuliani is way off the reservation,” Bannon claimed.
Giuliani responded by lambasting Baier and Fox News.
“I say the level of reporting was the most incompetent ever in the history of the country or in some cases totally corrupt,” Giuliani said. “I mean, much of the media was in a conspiracy to make sure Trump didn’t win. Basically, we’ve got to do anything and everything to defeat Trump.”
“And when they couldn’t defeat him on election day, they went ahead and they made up ballots,” he remarked. “That’s what those 78,000 pieces of paper that are phony are all about and that’s why the [Arizona election official] wanted the Sharpie pens.”

Giuliani concluded: “To miss this, you have to be either stupid or part of it.”
Giuliani has received an enormous amount of bad press of late, mostly in retrospective of his actions as Trump’s lawyer, and the personal demeanor he exhibited during his reign.
New York State barred Rudolph W. Giuliani from practicing law, months after the former New York mayor fought to have the presidential election results overturned on Trump’s behalf.
Giuliani is unfit to practice law, according to a committee of First Department Appellate Division judges, because he “communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers, and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for [Trump] and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed reelection bid in 2020.” On the subject, the panel delivered a 33-page opinion.
He is also barred from practicing law in Washington D.C.
According to a forthcoming book on the closing days of the previous president’s tenure, Rudy Giuliani was ‘heavily drinking’ and feeding Donald Trump’s mistaken conviction that Mike Pence might overturn the election results the day before the January 6 Capitol brawl.
In an extract from his book published in New York Magazine on Monday, author Michael Wolff writes, “The one person Trump did have at his side, Rudy Giuliani, was drinking heavily and in a constant state of excitation, often almost incoherent in his agitation and mania.”
Giuliani was one of the few people in Trump’s inner circle who remained by his side as the then-president began pursuing his 2020 election fraud allegations, according to Wolff.
“Almost everyone who remained around the president understood that he, along with Giuliani, did in fact actually believe that there was yet a decent chance of upsetting the electoral count and having Trump declared the Electoral College winner or, failing that, prolonging the election and returning the fight to the disputed states,” Wolff wrote.
A recent investigation from The Arizona Republic reveals that Trump and Giuliani participated in a bully campaign in Arizona to reverse the election results.
“Then-President Donald Trump tried to speak directly with the chair of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in the weeks after the November 2020 election as his allies sought to change the election results in a state he narrowly lost to Democrat Joe Biden. New records obtained by The Arizona Republic reveal the behind-the scenes efforts by Trump, his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, and state GOP Chair Kelli Ward to pressure the county supervisors, who make up the elected body that oversees elections in the state’s most populous county,” the newspaper reported.
Giuliani also retaliated against Powell after the former New York City mayor questioned some of Powell’s most bizarre election theories. They had a contentious relationship.
“I didn’t come here to kiss your f—ing ring,” she reportedly said.
Powell and Giuliani reportedly went into separate rooms to try to resolve the situation, while Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis sought out the former president.
After being purged from the campaign team, Giuliani announced in late November that Powell was “practicing law on her own.”
TIME Magazine published an exclusive report on Tuesday revealing that Russian foreign agents considered Giuliani “helpful” in their efforts to sabotage the 2020 election.
Giuliani’s friend, Andriy Derkach, labeled an “active Russian agent” by Biden, and it’s a distinction that Derkach refutes.
“In the fall of 2019, he gained access to Trump’s inner circle through Rudy Giuliani, the President’s personal lawyer,” the report explained. “He then provided Giuliani with documents purporting to show that Joe Biden and his family were involved in corruption. After their first meeting, Derkach even posted a photo of himself with Giuliani on Facebook, mugging for the camera as they exchanged a stack of documents. In the months before Election Day, he released a series of secret recordings of Biden pressuring top Ukrainian officials to fight corruption. The source of those tapes remains a mystery to this day.”
According to the narrative, both the FBI and the CIA alerted Trump’s team that Derkach was advocating a Russian disinformation campaign, but Trump’s associates ignored the warnings and continued to promote the theory on social media.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which oversees all US espionage agencies, accused him of being a consummate Kremlin operator, the spearhead of a Russian effort to impact the 2020 presidential election.
“The plot served multiple interests,” the report continued. “Derkach could not have gotten through to American voters without help from Trump and Giuliani, while the Trump campaign’s attacks against the Biden family relied in large part on the ammunition Derkach provided. Whatever the truth of the U.S. allegations against Derkach, Russia benefited from his efforts.”
“Giuliani is a very capable lawyer. I appreciated his meticulousness,” Derkach said. “When we spoke, it was very useful for me. He records everything. He writes everything down in his notebook. He never relaxes.”
Giuliani initiated his own rogue inquiry, enlisting the services of a cast of Kyiv sources and fixers to acquire material on the Bidens.
Even though other former Russian agents advised Giuliani that the information from Derkach was unreliable, he sent it to Barr to investigate anyway.
The only media attention he could receive at the current time is on Bannon’s podcast, and during his zealous interview, Bannon finally had to interrupt him to ‘bounce.’
