At a high-profile New York restaurant, two former personal attorneys for Donald Trump had an “awkward run-in.” The confrontation between Rudy Giuliani and Michael Cohen, according to Page Six, left witnesses wondering if “hell had finally froze over.”
According to Page Six, the staff at Fresco by Scotto planned to seat the two far apart at different sides of the restaurant, but the plan went “terribly awry.”

“Before they arrived, other VIPs snagged their planned tables and ultimately the two Trump-connected figures ended up with neighboring tables,” a source told Page Six. “There was zero interaction between them and when ex-NYC Comptroller Bill Thompson walked in, he went over to say hello to the former mayor.”
“Cohen then went around the restaurant, shaking hands with other diners, while giving Rudy a wide berth … It was so icy between the pair, it seemed like hell had finally frozen over,” another source told the tabloid.

One guest, who was seated at a nearby table, was overheard saying, “I feel like I’m in the middle of a boxing ring before the match is about to start. You can feel the tension in the air.”
Another individual at the restaurant stated that Giuliani “sat there stone-faced, at a table with friends, with what was left of his hair dye trickling down his brow.”

Cohen’s dislike for Giuliani is well-known. Giuliani was recently referred to by Cohen as an “idiot” who “drinks too much.” Giuliani has referred to Cohen as “pathetic” and a “serial liar.”
As part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, Cohen pled guilty to charges involving campaign finance violations, tax fraud, and bank fraud in August 2018. He was forbidden from practicing law and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Cohen and Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, have never gotten along, but Cohen recently labeled Giuliani a “idiot” who “drinks too much,” predicting that he’ll soon turn on the former president.
Meanwhile, Giuliani has called Cohen a “serial liar” and “pathetic.”
Giuliani, who was recently unmasked during the seventh season of “The Masked Singer,” much to the chagrin of some of the judges, is in talks to appear before a House select committee probing the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Last week, Giuliani declared the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack — as well as its subpoenas – “illegal” on the far-right news outlet Newsmax Tuesday night.
The Committee has subpoenaed Giuliani, a former Republican presidential candidate, New York City mayor, and U.S. Attorney, and expects him to participate completely. Last month, the Committee issued a legal subpoena to Giuliani, demanding that he turn over papers by February 1 and testify by February 8.

“How can you have any confidence in this committee which, by the way, is illegal?” Giuliani told Newsmax.
“I mean, it doesn’t have a minority membership,” which is false: there are two Republicans on the Committee. There would have been more but House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy pulled his members after assigning them.
