Late night host Stephen Colbert went off the rails last night. After days of Pres. Donald Trump rejecting calls for him to concede the presidential election, Colbert had seen enough.

“Yesterday, I was pouring champagne to toast the administration, and today I will cut you if you come near me, because there’s some crazy s*** going on out there.” As he smashed a champagne bottle against his desk.
He also attacked GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for backing the president in his challenge.
“So the Republican Party is backing the president. Not because they believe his conspiracy theories, but because they’re afraid of making him mad because they need his base.”

Then asked, “Should our entire political system be arranged to salve the wounded feelings of the guy who lost?”
In addition, Colbert cracked on Sec. of State Mike Pompeo for his claim there will be a ‘smooth transition’ to a second term. “No. Wrong. First, there won’t be a second Trump administration unless Tiffany wins in 2032 with a slogan, ‘Make America Make America Great Again Again.”

Along with, “Secondly, nothing this administration has done has ever been smooth. He couldn’t even manage a smooth transition from stage to ground level. Third, your guy lost. Fourth, if that was a joke, you just bombed so hard you violated the Geneva Convention.”
The comic continued, “This is dangerous! He’s the Secretary of State! He represents America to other countries, who just got the message that maybe the guy who lost isn’t going to leave. You know all those dictators you visited, Mr. Secretary? That wasn’t supposed to be an internship!”

He’s been an outspoken opponent of Pres. Trump and his agenda from early on. Was the bit done simply in the name of comedy? Or could it be art imitating life?
Colbert has been on a tear lately. He recently took several jabs at Donald Trump Jr. on Friday night. Donald Trump’s oldest son has become one of Colbert’s favorite targets over the past four years.
Donald Trump Jr. appeared on Fox News where he was interviewed by Laura Ingraham. Throughout the interview, Trump Jr. gnashed his teeth and repeatedly twitched. He downplayed the COVID-19 pandemic even though numbers are rising and even went as far as to state that the current death toll of more than 230,000 Americans “is almost nothing.”

“If you’re curious how much Don Jr. thinks is ‘almost nothing,’ yesterday 1,004 Americans died of coronavirus. I wouldn’t ask Don Jr. to give a eulogy,” Colbert joked before imitating Trump: “We’re gathered here today for absolutely no good reason! What are you all crying about! Your grandpa is just one guy…it’s almost nothing!”

During Trump Jr’s interview with Ingraham, he falsely alleged that the Trump administration had “gotten control” of the entire pandemic. He then told viewers to check out his Instagram account.
Colbert interrupted the Fox video and obliged going to Trump Jr’s Instagram and clicking on a video that showed him lying in bed and saying to the camera, “Hey guys, hope you’re doing well. Just looking at my algorithms get crushed.”

“From the looks of things, ‘Instant-gram’ might be the name of Don Jr.’s cocaine delivery service, because it sure seems like he’s crushing more than his algorithm,” Colbert joked.
This is not the first time that Colbert has brought up cocaine in association with Donald Trump Jr. Colbert and many Americans questioned if Trump Jr. had been into the white powder before he stepped on stage to give his speech at the Republican National Convention.

Trump Jr. delivered his speech while sweaty and glassy-eyed. He would later deny he uses cocaine and claimed his appearance was caused by the lighting used during the event, but no other speaker that night had any type of issue during their speeches.
Trump Jr. has denied these allegations time and time again. “I guess there must have been something with the lighting, but they started doing this trending thing,” he said, before bellowing the mock headline: “DONALD TRUMP JR.’S ON COCAINE.”

Apparently, Trump Jr has issues with lighting like his father, who claimed that it was energy-efficient light bulbs that make him appear to be orange the difference is in Trump Jr’s case the lightbulbs make him appear to be fueled up on cocaine.
No on else had issues with the lighting that evening, including his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle.
