While Donald Trump and his entourage were in India a special vegetarian feast was prepared to celebrate his visit. The feast was presented to both Donald and Melania Trump while they visited Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad.
The chef, who prepared the feast, went out of his way to create Indian delicacies that were more recognizable to Trump.
Trump is well known to live on greasy hamburgers and steak smothered in ketchup.
The chef even created things that he would not normally serve such as apple pie and chocolate chip cookies, but neither Trump or Melania tried anything that was specially made just for them.
“Some food items were arranged for the members of the visiting delegation, but neither the US President nor the First Lady had anything during their visit to the Ashram,” Kartikeya Sarabhai an Ashram’s trustees stated.
There were many people questioning how well Trump would fare in India without his beloved McDonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken. In India the cow is sacred and the country is made up of 500 million vegetarians.
The chef is said to be greatly disappointed that Trump did not allow him to introduce them to Indian cuisine.
Many individuals from India displayed outrage that the chef’s attempted to blend desserts with more Western flavors.
“If you change a samosa’s fillings, you are playing with feelings! #BroccoliSamosa is NOT a samosa.” Indian journalist Rachita Prasad tweeted.
When Trump returned to his luxury hotel in New Delhi he is said to have feasted on Diet Coke and cherry vanilla ice cream.
