On Friday, Donald Trump attended a campaign rally in Londonderry, New Hampshire. During his speech, Trump spoke about the continuing protests in cities across the nation.
Trump called demonstrators “thugs” and “anarchists” who he claimed could have killed Sen. Rand Paul and his wife near the White House on Friday if it hadn’t been for police in the area. Trump also spent time attacking Sen. Kamala Harris.
Trump alluded to reports that his political rival Joe Biden may only be seeking one term in the Oval Office, Trump stated that he would like to see the first woman president, he doesn’t believe that it should be the “not competent” Harris.
“I don’t want to see a woman get into that position the way she’d do it,” he said.
Trump then went on to claim that he believes the feat should be achieved within his own family. Citing sources that cannot be confirmed, Trump stated that the people do want to see a woman president.
“They’re all saying ‘we want Ivanka,'” Trump stated referring to his oldest daughter, Ivanka Trump. “I don’t blame them.”
Harris is the first Black woman and the first South Asian American woman to accept a major party’s vice-presidential nomination. She has been a US senator since 2017.
