President Donald Trump slammed the Oscars along with actor Brad Pitt yesterday. As he spoke to a crowd in Colorado Springs. “Then you have Brad Pitt, I was never a big fan of his, he got up, said a little wise guy statement,” the president told of Pitt’s speech after winning a Best Supporting Actor award.
“They told me only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week,” Pitt started. “I’m thinking maybe Quentin does a movie about it. In the end, the adults do the right thing,” he stated. The actor won for his role in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, a Quentin Tarantino film.

“By the way how bad were the Academy Awards this year, did you see it?” Trump would ask. “What the hell was that all about?” Then added, “We got enough problems with South Korea with trade, on top of it they give them the best movie of the year? Was it good? I don’t know.”
“I thought it was best foreign film right?” the president posed recalling Parasite being announced from the stage. “Did this ever happen before?” This year’s Best Picture winner, a South Korean film about class warfare.
“You know, I’m looking for like — let’s get ‘Gone with the Wind,'” Trump also wondered, “Can we get like ‘Gone with the Wind’ back, please? ‘Sunset Boulevard.’
Pitt later expanded on his comments in the press room after the ceremony. “I was really disappointed with this week, and I think when gamesmanship trumps doing the right thing, it’s a sad day, and I don’t think we should let it slide,” he announced. “And I’m very serious about that.”
A company that distributed the subtitled version of “Parasite” in the United States responded to Trump’s jab. As Neon replied on Twitter: “Understandable , he can’t read.”
The bitter feud between Trump and Hollywood’s liberal elite continues to rage and will just keep growing.
