On Memorial Day, Donald Trump attacked a Marine Corps veteran and sitting congressman on Twitter.
On Monday afternoon, Trump not only attacked Democratic congressman Conor Lamb, but he also misspelled his name…Connor Lamm. Trump called the veteran an “American fraud” and touted the candidacy of Sean Parnell. Parnell is trying to unseat Lamb for his 17th Congressional District seat in Pennsylvania.
Trump went on to call Lamb “a puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi.” Lamb was one of the 15 Democrats who did not vote for Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
Trump spent much of his night on Friday posting his endorsements of Republican House and Senate candidates. He picked up where he left off on Monday. In his rant against Lamb, Trump went as far as to say that he would somehow help “kill” the Second Amendment and expressed hostility over Lamb’s December votes to impeach him.
Trump made several uncalled for and brutal posts over the weekend, which he spent at his Virginia golf resort. He retweeted tweets by conservative John Stahl in which Hillary Clinton was referred to as a “skank” and another that mocked the weight of Stacey Abrams. He also promoted a baseless conspiracy theory about MSNBC host Joe Scarborough about a former staffer, who died accidentally while working for him.
