In a new book, former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders speaks out and shares some interesting tales. The memoir called, “Speaking for Myself: Faith, Freedom, and the Fight of Our Lives Inside the Trump White House.”
She stated, “On my first day back in the White House for the New Year, I did a press briefing, and Ivanka invited my family to join hers at the Monster Jam coming to the Verizon Arena in Washington.”
“The president told Hope and me in the Oval he wanted the classic “Guns N’ Roses” song “November Rain” added to his rally playlist.”
And revealed, “He told us it was the ‘greatest music video of all time,’ and made us watch it to prove his point even though neither of us disagreed.”
From Rolling Stone:
Hicks and [Sanders] were probably a little confused when the video ended, especially when it came to the death of Stephanie Seymour’s character. In one scene, she’s celebrating her wedding to Axl [Rose] when it suddenly begins pouring. The guests act like they’re under enemy attack fire and began diving for cover. One fellow even dives through the wedding cake. We then transition right to a funeral and Seymour is in a coffin.
In reality, Trump has probably given the plot of the “November Rain” video almost no thought at all. But the fact that he has any sort of opinion about the thing is quite amazing. Does he also like The Spaghetti Incident? Was he disappointed by Chinese Democracy? Is he hoping that Izzy Stradlin takes part in a future reunion tour? We’ll never know the answers to any of this, but we do know that Axl Rose detests Trump. He must have felt a little odd when he learned that the feeling is far from mutual.
That is remarkable indeed.
This is hardly the first instance in which a new book release has revealed some interesting tidbits about President Donald Trump’s odd behavior.
According to Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer/fixer, in his new book, “Disloyal: A Memoir,” Trump’s dislike for former President Obama was so strong that he hired a “Faux-Bama” to act in a video Trump wanted to have produced . In the video Trump “ritualistically belittled the first black president and then fired him.”
CNN obtained a copy of the book and reports that Michael Cohen doesn’t reveal the name of the man, who was hired to play President Obama or give specific details about when the incident took place, but Cohen did include a photo of the incident.
The photo shows Donald Trump sitting behind his desk facing a black man wearing a suit, with a book on the desk with Obama’s name on it.
Cohen claims he is prepared to “unleash on Trump” and describes Trump as “a cheat, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, a con man.” He adds that Trump sought the presidency for personal financial gain.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement that Cohen “is a disgraced felon, and disbarred lawyer, who has lied to Congress” and that Cohen “has lost all credibility” and is trying “to profit off lies” with the book.
It seems as if insiders are coming forward with more inside information about Donald Trump and his administration on a regular basis, so this almost certainly will not be the last insider we hear from, especially heading into the general election in November.
