Vermin Love Supreme is an activist, American performance artist, and a 2020 presidential candidate. He is running as a Libertarian against Adam Kokesh, John McAfee, Sam Seder, and Arvin Vohra.
Supreme is well-known for wearing a boot as a hat and carrying with him an extra- large toothbrush. He says if he wins the 2020 presidential election, he will pass a law requiring that everyone brushes their teeth.
His campaign platform contains zombie apocalypse awareness and direct funds to time travel research. According to his Facebook campaign page, “Supreme is the only candidate pledging to fund time travel research. Vermin has promised that as President, he will time travel and kill the infant-Hitler with his own bare hands. (you don’t want the Holocaust to happen, DO YOU?!?). I know I’m against Hitler’s legacy as it currently stands, support Supreme 2020 to abolish Hitler from history!”
He also promises free ponies to every American if elected. Who doesn’t love ponies!
Supreme is taking his act on the road in July. On July 9, he will be making an appearance at the Starwood Festival in Pomeroy, Ohio. On July 19, he will make a guest appearance at Napoli’s Pizza in Olean, New York, and on July 27th he will be at the North Texas Anarchist Book Fair.
This is not Supreme’s first presidential run. He ran in 2004 and garnered 249 votes. He ran for president again in 2012 as a Democrat. He gave it a try again in 2016 running as a Libertarian. During that campaign, he embarked on a 20- city tour. He received 259 votes in the primary. Since 1987, Vermin has dedicated much of his life running for various local, state or national political offices.
Supreme is the subject of the 2014 documentary, Who Is Vermin Supreme? An Outsider Odyssey, which follows his 2012 campaign and explores his life as an activist and a political prankster.
Supreme has also dipped his toes into the film making world. In 2009 he co-wrote and stars in the 2009 film “Vote Jesus: The Chronicles of Ken Stevenson.” In the film, he stars as a right-wing political candidate so he can gain access into the world of American fundamentalism.
In 2012, Supreme starred in a web series entitled “Learnin’ with Vermin” that uses a fictional version of his presidential campaign as a platform to teach political concepts.
Supreme is once again running for president as a Libertarian. “The Libertarian Party is the only party that aligns with my core principles of anti-state, anti-war, and anti-authority. The LP supports the individual and is itself a community of caring, sharing individuals. That is why I joined the LP,” Supreme said.
Do you believe that brushing your teeth is one of the most important actions on the planet? Do you want to be more aware of the possible zombie apocalypse? Do you think the United States should dedicate funds to time travel? Do you love ponies? If you answered yes to any of these questions then Vermin Love Supreme is the candidate for you!
